For the understanding of any and all SG-5 personnel, for survival on exploration and battlefield missions is to know protocols, military applications, and life saving procedures.

So lets jump right into the real meaning of the SG-5 Strategic training manual!

STRATEGIC TACTICS ON THE BATTLEFIELD

The reason of SG5 military operations in the battlefield is to overcome any force, obstacle,species and completely irrevocably win. To achieve success, SG5 forces must gain the initiative, deploy in full tactical battle strength, and formation of these tactics and synchronization of activities and functions. Such an advance/deploy will prevent the Goauld/Enemy from freely maneuvering forces in depth to enhance an Jaffa attack, build up a defense, or counterattack. In every strategic/tactical battle, our forces must protect themselves as never before from a wide range of highly technical weapons systems [zats,staff weapons,ribbon devices,unknown unsecured Alien weaponry]. Thus, in both the strategic offense and defense, we will have to be data collected of the enemy's ability to detect, engage, and destroy us. Careful procedural protocols, planning and diligent work will enhance our definition, to overcome and win the fight.

SG5 strategic addresses five important points significant to secure SG5 Battle compliments:

1. SG5 off-world units have primary responsibility to overtake, position and reposition, and begin holding their own positions for increment and security .

2. The unit structures ultimate role in strategic is set by the deployment commanders communication/deployment in positional detailed battle offensive,achieving of data and destroying tactical offensive Goauld/enemy forces.

3. Routing by strategic deployments,other SG teams support will supplement units as determined by the SG1 and SG5 Command strategic structures and protocols under covert and black ops tactical security applications.[this is in the black ops manual]

4. SG5 tactical initiative support will concentrate on missions requiring unique weaponry/communications skills or equipment. Covert and offensive/defensive applications left to communications by Field Commanders and secured orders by Command.

5. Tactical procedures begin with using all available concealment and natural cover, followed by ground defensive initiative and forcing fighting and protective positions. Procedures are updated by Stargate Command periodically.

The SG5 Strategic/tactics protocols will enhance our protection and survival efforts:

The securing the forward lines of our own SG units, conduct deep battle operations, and overcome threats by application of weapons enployments.

The use of Tau'ri/Tok'ra firepower and decisive maneuvering.

The essence of a multi-functional battlefield resulting from dissolution of battle lines and areas due to maneuvering, and rapid dispersion from areas of Goauld/enemy energy weapons,unknown and known.

Coordinated air/ground ops function involving movements by other units.

Acquisition of alien technology tactical weaponry and return technology to Command after proven battlefield usage. Exclusive to SG5 tactical ops and functions.

Active field and air recon, surveillance, and target acquisition efforts through MALPs, remote sensing radar, and tactical communications .

Application on Alien acquired weaponry for battlefield warfare as a combat initiative and means to win the mission.

THE SG5 OFFWORLD/ONWORLD GROUND BATTLE TACTICS

The Alien/enemy is an offensively-oriented technological force that uses unknown amounts of energy weapon firepower to entail its own mobility, affectivity, and shock of its weaponry. It seeks to identify and exploit weak points from the tactical front to the rear of enemy formations,and usually blocks exit from the off-world Stargate. Jaffa forces concentrate their attack at a weak pivot point in the enemy's defensive formation. Jaffa training utilizes three basic forms of applications when attacking a defending force. Entrapment [Gaould energy nets], frontal [offensive] attack, and flank[field camouflage] attack. Penetration of enemy defenses,access to the Stargate, is the ultimate objective in all three categories. The Jaffa uses staff weapons, zats, in this effort, and their goal is to fight through,secure Stargate, to the enemy rear and pursue retreating forces,for torture by a Goauld ribbon device.

The surprise engagement

The surprise engagement is the type of offensive action most preferred by Goauld System Lords. It relies on a tactical battle foray executed from the columns using combined space/air and ground deployments. Goauld tactics utilizes rapid maneuver of forces and attacking while its enemy is unawares,not when it is in a prepared defense [unless enemies technology is 'very young' Attach. By the Tollans]. Attacking a defending enemy requires ego-centric applications of forces a requirement of the System Lords.

The surprise engagement begins as a Jaffa advance guard of a combined arms force makes contact with the enemy advancing force [or recon mission units]. As soon as contact is recognized, Jaffa Staff Weapon offensive begins begins. When possible, the Jaffa frontal force maneuvers its advance guard to a flank and attacks[3 columns usually used]. This preliminary maneuver is supported by a barrage from the Jaffa tower energy weapons [above ground] which has deployed at the first sign of contact. The Jaffa force then makes a quick flank or frontal attack on enemy forces as they receive orders from the System Lords.

When SG5 forces are involved in a surprise engagement,well trained operations are needed, but not as much as in the deployed defense. Rapid prepared fighting and protective positions are essential but will often be prepared without prior insurgence. SG5 units must also use natural terrain for fighting and protective positions, with or without advanced weapons technology.

The pursuit and acquisition of 'targets'

The pursuit of retreating forces by System Lords advancing forces takes place as leading Jaffa columns by route strong-points and heavy engagements and allow following column flanks to take up the fight. After any penetration is achieved, Jaffa training calls for an aggressive pursuit and drive into the enemy rear area, for enfoldment and entrapment for death blasts by staff weapons.

To survive in deep combat covert operations or during pursuit by the System Lords presents a significant need for advanced information/data in the Black ops survival manual. During occupational warfare operations, protective positions both within the delay and fallback locations are required for the SG5 team unit protocols. Careful consideration of the advance of other civilizations available for the desired level of weapons acquisition is necessary. Therefore, priorities of negotiations and strategic black ops are necessary.

STRATEGIC OPERANDI TO ALIEN THREATS [2nd protocol]

SG5 operations for tactical battle functions are ranked in the following order:

Destroy Goauld weapon systems, weapons stockpiles,and terminate key System Lords.

Destroy Jaffa main forces,secondary, third column battle features/initiatives.

Breach/control Goauld main lines of defensive energy grids.

Establish off-world attack corridors within System Lord battlefield boundaries.

ROLE OF STARGATE SG5 FORCES

The functional role of the SG5 is a full Strategic and Tactical defensive and rudimentary force of extreme planning and if deep battle,destructive initiative. The Stargate Command send in SG5 when no other team unit will do. The SG5 are covert,and fully operational and tactical deploy. The SG5 revises and fully completes all training manuals for all other SG units,and out of all the aspects in the off-world and deep space function the 'SG5 serves as a shadow corp' in the Tau'ri Stargate system. When Strategic information,lost units,or the sanction of a System Lord its the responsibility of the SG5 to fill and complete the mission. The SG5 are a unit of many species, Tok'ra, Nox, Tollain, Jaffa [disjointed/recruited]and the Tau'ri. The SG5 are from many parts of the Tauri Gate Systems, US, UK, Australia, to name a few. Each of the SG5 team unit members are 'black ops shadow members' identities known only to 'SGC Command'
